Our complex is a host to many beautiful plants and flowers as you have seen by some of my other posts. Today's choice was the Birds of Paradise. These flowers are amazing!
Oh Misty, this is just gorgeous!! I just love these flowers, but they are so hard to come by here, so it is just wonderful to see photographs of them. I LOVE the way you composed this!
This reminds me of the days when I lived in Hawaii. Oh how I wish I could be there again now for all the amazing photo opps, and here you have them right in your backyard!
To answer your question about my moon picture, I used my 70-200mm. I find I hardly ever use that lens, but when I need it, it sure comes in handy. I'd forgotten that it was a full moon until I got on the computer that night...maybe it was good I was on the computer that night :o) I don't have my tripod unpacked and handy, so I just made do with what I had and got really lucky with the clouds parting perfectly for those few seconds and actually having my settings somewhat right. I started with some suggestions from other bloggers but made some adjustments after doing some test shots on a street light and listening to my gut and I really had to make some big changes from what others had done, so it made me feel good to know that I could think on my own and figure it out. What a journey this has been.
And btw, thank you for your sweet, sweet comment after my feed settings got tweaked. You don't know how much you made my day. Ditto to you my friend. :o)
