Day 46 - No Diving Allowed

These two mallards were hanging out at the pool this morning. Even with the cover still over the pool, the female found the tiny wet spot on top and plopped herself. I wonder if "No Diving Allowed" applies to ducks too.
(I've been asked what edits I make and I keep forgetting to post them. I use free presets quite a bit. For this one I used the EFF Dragan 3 preset, adjusted the vignette and bumped the contrast, clarity and various color saturation till I got the look I wanted. When using presets often times extra edits are required.)

You need a "No squatting allowed" sign for the ducks. It looks like the male know his place or should that be pecking order.

Great post. I think the one on the side is saying "you go in, I don't want to get my hair wet"

What a sweet funny shot--reminds me one of the quirky photos they had at the end of Life magazine.

Now I have seen rubber duckies in the pool, but not real ones! This gave me my smile for the day!

Fun - hope they don't decide to take up residency.

Those are smart ducks. They look nice and warm as compared to our ducks who only find frozen lakes, rivers and ponds.

Animals are so funny. They look so serious about what they are doing. A fabulous shot.
