I cross over these railroad tracks all the time and as I drove around trying to find something to photograph today I decided this would be my subject of choice. It's actually no longer used for trains but instead for trolleys which definitely makes for a much shorter wait when you get stuck waiting at one.

We are near one too I really want some track shots when i get a spare minute to go down there :-) This is great.
This is very neat! I need to find some railroad tracks! We don't seem to have very many around us.
I grew up right by a train track! I used to curse them when they made me late for school. Great shot.
Excellent exposure and focus. I like the white background--it's all about the signal itself.
Very good perspective. I really love the processing that you did on this one, also.
Nice shot, Misty! Great focus & DOF.
Great shot! I've been thinking about photographing a local RR crossing lately also. The weather hasn't been cooperative lately though. Either raining or snowing when I've gone through.
Love it! Perfect lighting and I love whatever you did to it to soften it.
This is a great shot! :)
I like this. They are a familar sight around here.
I love this! Really like the processing too.
I love the plain background, it really makes the sign pop! Right on w/ the exposure, nice natural colors!
i keep thinking about doing a 365 but just haven't ever gotten around to it. i'm going to enjoy following yours!
Great shot- I wish I could find some that aren't ridiculously busy! Love your processing!!
Wouldn't that be lovely with the scripture from Proverbs about "training a child"? I can see it enlarged or on a standout in a little boy's room! I may totally steal this idea for my nephew who loves trains!
Misty, this is SUCH a great shot! I just absolutely love the colors and the DOF!
Great shot! Processing is perfect for it also.
The red in this is so beckoning.
very cool shot.
I grow up with tracks behind our home. It seemed like we got stopped by a train crossing everytime I was running late for school.
Nice choice for the day.

Another outstanding shot. I'd love it if you'd share some of your PPing tricks with us. I've been loving some of the effects on your recent photos.
