Day 243 - Fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus
Definitely a more interesting title than "mushroom" right...well at least according to Wikipedia. I've seen some incredible mushroom photos on blogs lately like Ashley's for instance. Unfortunately our mushrooms are pretty ugly though.
I love the title! I think it is a great shot. This would be a great shot to explore a lot of the "grungy" textures and actions that are popping up all over. You know, just for fun. ;)
We have seen some really interesting mushrooms around here lately also. I'm sort of obsessed with them right now. So much so, that my kids will come get me if they find a mushroom so I can photograph it. :)

Well at least you have some to take a photo of. With the heat going on here in TX, there's not a shroom in sight!

I don't know if they're ugly, Misty. I kinda like them -- maybe because they remind me of chocolate chip cookies. Have a good weekend.
