Day 61 - Remember When...

Remember when you used to carry a quarter around in your shoe just in case you needed to make a phone call home? Remember when pay phones used to cost only a quarter? Remember when you used to actually use a pay phone? They are actually kind of hard to find now. With today's technology I rarely see a payphone let alone something using one. Even homeless people these days have cell phones.

By the way, apparently the toy I took a picture of yesterday is called an abacus. Never knew that so thanks everyone for enlightening me. :)  Also, thanks to those who have removed word verification from their blogs. It makes commenting so much easier and quicker.

Ohhh, I love your processing on this one! Very cool....in more ways than one. I took your lead and did some train shots today and had a lot of fun wandering around the station and down the tracks. I played and played with my PP but couldn't get anything nearly as dreamy as the effect you used on your railroad crossing picture. Do you remember what you did to it to get that look?

Has the world become a better place with the mobile phone ? I think I enjoyed both worlds as we have gone through these changes ...

Oh my goodness, I lived off a payphone in high school to call my parents to come pick me up after practice! Great find, and such a cool way to show it off!!

Do you remember when you used to be out at dinner with friends and none of you were distracted by text messages, updating Facebook status, and checking the game's score? There are parts of this time that I would really like to return to:)

I really like the composition of this shot, BTW.
