Day 80 - Slow as Snails

Our apartment complex becomes Snail Central when it rains and today was no exception. You have to watch where you walk or you are bound to hear a crunch under your feet which gives me the heeby jeebies. Yuck!

Just wanted to thank each of you who follow and who take the time to stop and comment. I know following a lot of blogs, sometimes it is hard to have enough time to comment on everyone's blogs but I truly appreciate the comments. They are encouraging.

Awww! It's so cute hanging on there! Other than that, yeah, not a snail fan. :)

Ew...you got me at the 'crunch' part. :/ Neat photo though!

I get lots and lots of slugs, and they eat up the roots and folage on my plants. :-(

I am not a snail fan, but they are interesting creatures. You certainly got a good photo of him and I like how he's climbing a tree!

This is a good picture of a creature not usually photographed.

Wow! Nothing like that here! Maybe their cousins, the slugs... but no snails! At least they're slow enough to get great shots like this one! :)

At first I thought the poor snail was crawling across the snow.

What a cool shot!! I didn't like snails until I saw this shot - now I almost do! :)

Great capture of the snail, but it sure would be gross to actually step on one.

Very cute! Love the textures! I would not like them crunching under my feet as well...we have nightcrawlers that get all smashed after the rain..yuk!

Ewwwy subject but interesting photo. I'm still squiggling in my seat from the thought of the crunch!

You're welcome on the comments comment. I know that comments are what keep me motivated and going when I start to run out of steam, so I'm happy to return the favor....plus I LOVE you blog. :o)

What a super shot - I love this! That snail obviously knows about the importance of contrast in photographs - it chose to climb up a white trunk rather than a brown one! ;-)

The snails eat everything (flowers) I hate them but the shot is great:)

I got the heebie jeebies just thinking about a "crunch" under my foot!
I love this picture- and the angle it's at- really makes that snail look like he's movin' quick!

I've not seen a snail this year so this is my first. I love the detail in the shell and the colour and tone. An excellent capture.

Wonderfully crisp and clear photo. Loads of detail on the bark and on the snail too.
