Day 265 - Koala

Did you know that it is not called a Koala Bear? I had no idea until I heard the tour guide telling people on the shuttle bus passing by that it was not a bear. Huh! You learn something new every day! One of many things I love about going to the zoo is I know I will most definitely get my picture for the day. :)

Question: Has anyone had trouble leaving comments? I noticed my comments have dropped significantly, but maybe people are just not leaving comments. Just want to make sure there's not a problem. I am trying to make it a point to be more deliberate about leaving comments for other people, because I know how encouraging they are to me. I just find it odd to have 263 followers and only 10ish and sometimes only 3 comments. Any suggestions?

Great shot. It is very sharp. That is so important when dealing with fur. Fantastic!

Very well captured. They are so cute but can get aggressive.
I don't have any suggestions, I guess we have to take comments as they come. Some people like to follow but don't quite know what to say when it come to commenting on blogs.

Whatever he is, he sure is cute! And you captured him with beautiful light. As far as comments go, I think the main thing is the more you leave, the more you get. I love visiting blogs and I figure while I'm there I might as well comment! When I join a link up I always leave comments for all the people around me and a few more too. And it's good that you have the pop up type comment box. I think the embedded blogger comment box gives people trouble sometimes.

Beautiful capture - and great to get one so alert seeing as they sleep most of their day.

Adorable shot and love the detail you captured in the eyes. I did know that about Koala, only because we've been to the land down under and have a good friend from there, but I still think of them as a cuddly little bear. I must add too that I've been bad about commenting lately and feel guilty about that; I keep thinking I'm going to catch up and find more time, but it keeps eluding me. I'll try to be better. :o)

This is my favorite marsupial, they look so cute and cuddly. Although, I hear they are not so cuddly. Great shot!
