Day 270 - Fall Preview

If I would have known how easy it was to add textures I would have done this ages ago! Now I can legitimately participate in The Daily Wyatt's Texture Thursday.  I found this helpful video tutorial and now I'm a texture adding genius! Well, not really, but hey, this was fun. I downloaded a bunch of free textures from The Coffee Shop Blog and can't wait to start using them. Does anyone else have a special folder with awesome tutorials bookmarked. I go to that folder for all the time and am constantly adding new ones. It's amazing all the free tutorials there are out there.

As my daughter and I were leaving the library today, I saw this leaf on the ground. I didn't have my camera with me, so I brought it home and put it on the patio. Hey, sometimes you have to improvise, right. I didn't want to miss out on capturing a fall leaf, so I just grabbed one so I would have it when I had access to my camera. :)

Beautiful shot and processing - glad you brought that leaf home! A few months ago I came across kim klassen's blog and her textures - it's so good, although I'm not as far advanced as work like yours. I'm trying to get her lessons together in some kind of notebook for myself so I can take it all in. You, on the other hand make it look so easy!

This is gorgeous! The texture is just perfect. Not too much or too little, but just the right amount. And the light is beautiful too!

Beautiful photo! So glad you decided to try textures!

And I have brought leaves home to photograph also. One tree outside our public library has leaves the most gorgeous shade of yellow.

Beautiful. Can feel the cool air ... almost. :)

The texture is great. I have totally staged shots before. If you can do it with people and products, why not nature?

I'm going to have to play around with some textures because I love what you did with this photo, and what a great idea to take a picture of a leaf to mark the beginning of fall.
