Every night after the baby is in bed, the hubs and I put an hour aside and spend time together. No TV. No computer. Whether chatting or playing a game or learning new songs to sing at church, it's time that we spend alone together. The past couple of nights we have been playing Scrabble and so far I am the reigning champion! woot woot!

I LOVE scrabble! I'll have to incorporate a shot of a game at some point when my mom comes to visit. It's OUR game and it's OUR time. :) Everyone else has to just deal. LOL Have fun!
wait.. I hope everyone understands I mean that "at our house, it's just my mom and I" it's off limits when it comes to that game at our house. :)

This is such a good shot! I started playing Scrabble with my mom when we lived with her during my husband's deployment. I never got very good at it, but the time with my mom was precious to me.

I love that you guys do that. My hubby and I need to become better at that. I'm always editing photos and posting after the baby is in bed. I'm trying to rework my day so that we have more time in the evening. I love scrabble too but I'm awful at it!
Love this! That is something we need to get better at. I don't like Scrabble but we used to play Canasta pretty often :-)

I am inspired by your tradition. Like Melissa, I find myself getting on the computer as soon as the kids are asleep. It is not a good habit and I need to address that, and your post has brought that to my attention. I can just picture you and hubs at the table, talking, laughing, sharing wonderful moments of concentration and silence together. Good for you. Fun shot and great perspective on the photo and life in general.
Great tradition. We sometimes play Scrabble too but we tend to play Bananagrams more often. It's very similar except each player makes her own maze of words and there's no board.
