Day 127 - My First 5k

I ran my first ever 5k today. Actually it was my first race ever. I've never been a runner but a few months ago I decided I would like to start running and possibly run a race some day. Well, today was that day. What a blast! My sweet husband, daughter and my wonderful mom were all there to cheer me on and support me. God gave me the endurance and strength to finish strong. Finishing time: 25:32. Official finishing time: 25:42 (It took 10 seconds to get across the Start line)

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13

Great job! I'm impressed! It's only walking for me. I love that you documented the day with a photo showing your time on your watch with your number and shoes too.

Congratulations!! What an amazing feeling! And you ran pretty fast, too. I'm contemplating a 5k next weekend, but can't seem to bring myself to register. It's been a looooooong time for me.

Yes, I was there watching my baby girl cross the finish line with tears in my eyes. Good job, Honey Bunny. All glory to the Lord.

Congratulations! That's a great finishing time! I will be running my first 5K of this year on May 21. (I ran in 4 races last year).

And that is my favorite verse! I repeat it all the time while I am running. :)

You rock girl! I'm so impressed! I can hardly run to the kitchen fast enough to get a bowl of ice cream let alone run a 5k! Congrats on your time too, I bet you're walking on air tonight, either that or totally worn out and fast asleep!

congratulations, I admire anyone who can run like this. I ride my bike and/or walk miles but I wouldn't even run out to the mailbox.
