It was difficult getting a good picture with how bright and sunny it was today (no complaints) but thankfully this rose was shaded so the lighting was much more conducive so as not to wash it out. I love red roses.
Also, make sure you check out my new contest and link up for your
Favorite Photo of the Week. You have until Monday night to add your link.

So pretty!
Roses are one of God's best pieces of art. Wait, I just thought of 1,000 more! However, you present the red rose beautifully. Glad the light cooperated!
What a gorgeous rose! I just saw your favorite photo of the week, and I like that idea. I'm taking a little blogging break right now because my army son is home on leave from Afghanistan, but would love to join in when I'm back!
this is really beautiful!

This detail is amazing! I love how it's just one lone flower, looking so lovely! Great job!! ;)

You captured it wonderfully, Misty. It's beautiful.

Very good job on this gorgeous rose photo! I have a tendency to blow my reds! LOL
Okay, I'm a total nerd about the linking--but will give it a shot!
Beautiful photo, Misty! The texture of the rose looks velvety.

So pretty! You did great to find a beautiful subject in the shade when your day was too bright. I always figure the first sign of a good photographer is one who understands light.
